Service Description
24th April 6.30-8.30pm 25th April 9am-4pm 26th April 9am-4pm Bardon Counselling Centre 151 Boundary Road, Bardon Grief is not only for the bereaved. It arises whenever we love - when things change, when the world shifts beneath us, when we sense what has been lost or never was. This workshop is for anyone who carries grief in any of its forms. Inspired by Francis Weller’s Five Gates of Grief, this is a compassionate, educational, and experiential space - a place to slow down, reflect, and be held by community. Through storytelling, shared ritual, and gentle practice, you will find you are not alone in what you carry. This weekend workshop explores Francis Weller’s profound framework, "The Five Gates of Grief", and how it lives in your own life. Participate in practices and shared rituals that open space for personal and collective healing, and take part in the ancient act of bearing witness - speaking and being heard without fixing - as part of a caring group of fellow travellers. Grief need not be carried alone. Find new ways to honour your grief and carry it forward as part of your life. Facilitated by Natalie Roset and Sia Carlyon. Both psychotherapists with over 20 years’ experience working in spaces of grief and loss. Natalie and Sia bring deep professional knowledge alongside genuine warmth, holding this work with care, skill, and humanity. You do not need to be in acute grief to attend. All forms of loss are welcome here - grief wears many faces. Confidentiality and mutual respect are at the heart of this space. Guidelines will be in place to protect and honour all that is shared within the group. What past participants have said about this workshops: "Attending this grief workshop, facilitated by Nat and Cat, was one of the most healing experiences I’ve ever had. I walked in carrying so much silently, not even realizing how heavy it had become. Through the lens of Francis Weller’s Five Gates of Grief, and the gentle, compassionate space the facilitators held, I began to understand my grief in new and profound ways. The practices, the shared stories, the quiet rituals - each part helped me feel less alone. Nat and Cat created such a supportive and sacred environment. I left with a deeper sense of connection - not just to others or the world around me, but to myself. If you’re holding grief in any form, this workshop offers a place to meet it with care and courage." - Hanna B. Places are strictly limited - to book, click the link below!
